Enjoy Caren's stoneware salad bowl and 4 salad plates.  Caren Helm is a lively potter working in the foothills of West Castleton, VT.  Functional stoneware pottery and scultpure.  Your stoneware pot is dishwasher, freezer and oven safe.  If your pot has been refrigerated, let it stand at room temperature or be sure to raise the oven temperature slowly.  It contains no lead or any other toxic substances and is 100% safe for cooking and serving. 

My farmhouse style:  I design my pottery with the influence of rural America during 1930 to 1960.  It's reminiscent of the days of homemade cooking and sitting on the porch after meals enjoying the sunset.  During this time functionality reigned.  Farms, boarding houses and ranch meals were served from handmade pottery which was multifunctional.  Mismatched dishes crowded the table of family, hired hands and guests.  My pottery is everyday pottery, please don't keep it for the best!
