Legend has it that Victor J. "Trader Vic" Bergeron, came upon his famous Mai Tai cocktail while running Hinky Dink’s Pub in California’s Bay Area in the 1930s.  After gaining much popularity, he adapted the drink and his Americanized renditions of Polynesian food into the now internationally acclaimed Trader Vic’s Restaurant.  Located across the street from Mocking Bird Station, Dallas patrons may savor the Island-Eurasian Cuisine and tropical beverage concoctions in a dining room reminiscent of an exotic island hideaway.
