The Toyota Prius is a car for enthusiasts – environmental enthusiasts. This little four door sedan has a roomy interior with backseat room for a couple of adult-sized teens and a trunk large enough to carry all of your sports gear and a week’s worth of groceries.
 
The Prius’ hybrid system uses an electric motor to boost the 1.5 L twin-cam four banger, which runs so quietly you almost don’t notice it shutting off whenever the car stops for a traffic light. Using the electric motor to assist the gas engine also boosts mileage to the respectable 45 mpg, now that’s lean…and green!
