"Be a firestarter!" is artist Laura Kowalski's call to action and personal motto and Capture 13 is her demonstration and offering of that to Shambhala Sun Foundation auction bidders.

Laura works primarily in acrylics because they are most similar to her experience with life: intense, bright, and passionate. She describes herself as "an artist and an intuitive" and says "it is pure joy to have these paintings come to me through meditation. Working this way, letting intuition guide me, is powerful and humbling and a wonderful experience."
