Casa Werma in Mexico: One-Week Stay

Item Number: 136
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Plan a week at Casa Werma in Mexico during 2009 and spend from now until then luxuriating in the knowledge that mangoes, pineapples and practice await. The anticipation only adds to this item's appeal.
The village of Patzucaro was once described by Frommer's Travel Guides as "perhaps the loveliest town in Mexico. Crooked cobblestone streets, smooth stucco walls painted white with dark red borders, blackened tile roofs that join to form ramshackle rooflines -- it is a town meant to be photographed and painted."
One block from the town's central market is what appears to be a small forest enclosed by an endless adobe wall. It is, in fact, Casa Werma, "a tranquil paradise in the middle of town" and an ideal place for personal practice whether in the main shrineroom in the Casa Grande or the smaller Casita.
The invitation to bidders is for a one-week stay involving one or two people; children welcome. Accommodation is a single room or suite. Food is available from the local market.
Patzcuaro is a four-hour drive west of Mexico City, four hours east of Guadalajara. The closest airport is in the colonial city of Morelia about an hour from Patzcuaro. Ixtapa/Zijuatenejo, a beach resort area on the beautiful Michoacan coast, is approximately four hours from Patzcuaro.
