Destruction of the Buddhas in Bamiyan, Afghanistan inspired Karen Zilly, Shenspace owner, to create her own interpretive renditions of the Buddha. "It is a timeless image" she says, "a guide for finding one's center of focus, and a calming yet energizing influence."

Karen has kindly offered this painting from her current body of work to the Shambhala Sun Foundation auction. Karen works with private buyers and interior designers, and also does custom site-specific work
