Description
If you are limiting your child's culinary lessons to the Duncan Hine's School of Cooking, how about taking it up a notch: Send your kids (and yourself, you get to accompany your child!) to "Candy Camp": confectionary classes for kids with Pastry Chef Jehangir Mehta at Graffiti. For a child age 5–16 accompanied by a parent. First Saturday of every month at Graffiti Food and Wine Bar. 10:00 am - 11:30 am. Each ticket gets in one kids plus one parent. Children learn how to make cookies, candies, chocolate...and even how to wrap them up in pretty packaging with a card included. Arguably one of the country’s most celebrated pastry provocateurs, Jehangir Mehta has pushed palates with his deliriously avant-garde creations at Jean Georges and Aix. Now, he has branched out with Graffiti, a sweet-and-savory spot in the East Village, an eclectic shoebox-size boite which he designed himself. Here Mehta serves up equally eclectic international small plates that will feature his trademark affinity for bold flavors and spices: chiles, sambhar, turmeric and star anise.
Graffiti was one of Citysearch's top 10 2007 restaurants.
