The parents at PS 110 who managed to snag a spot in the always sold-out Singing with Suzi mommy and me classes at the 14th Street Y won't be shocked to learn that in many critics’ and record execs’ eyes, the next in line for Laurie Berkner's audience is the vivacious Suzi Shelton! Don't say we didn't tell you so back in 2008.

With awards from Parents' Choice, the Children's Music Web, iParenting Media and a 2007 Gold Award from National Parenting Publications, Suzi is gaining national acclaim and FAST. No Ordinary Day, produced by Dan Siegler, aims at a slightly older audience: elementary-aged kids rather than tots. It's a new collection of playful pop-rock tunes reflecting Suzi's insightful songwriting and her band's sonic sophistication, with funky and up-tempo rhythms and electronic flourishes.
