Have you heard about Jazz-a-ma-tazz? Here’s a groovy, very local outing your oldest and your youngest and your sig other can all enjoy. Hayes Greenfield's Jazz-a-ma-tazz is a very lively, fun, educational interactive music performance that entertains, captivates and engages the imagination of diverse audiences from ages 3 to 104 (well, maybe 105!). Over at the Bowery Poetry Club, or even in Lincoln Center, Hayes and his band take audiences on an educational jazz journey of call and response, scat singing, dancing, interpretive sound, and just plain old beboppin'. Everyone gets a chance to perform and become a part of the ensemble, inspiring self-expression and celebrating the creative process. “Youngsters are encouraged to clap, call out responses, assist in demonstrations and, yes, dance … Mr. Greenfield’s quartet proves that jazz isn’t old people’s music!” – The New York Times. "Catch the man who's making jazz cool for kids.” – New York Magazine
