The Last Tree is the debut album of up-and-coming local art-metal band Cormorant, featuring Tam graduates, Nick Cohom and Brennan Kunkel on guitar and drums, with Lycee Francais alumnus Arthur von Nagel on vocals and fretless bass. Another former Lycee student, Matthew Wilenchik, engineers and co-produces. Cormorant's music is simultaneously heavy and melodic, all the while anchored by von Nagel's poetic lyrics.
