The Wine!

Bottle One: 1998 Chateau La Grange- France
Bordeaux Region
Saint Julien Appellation

A lovely style, showing a very attractive open nose with plentiful fruit. It has a well rounded, well composed complete style on the palate, with some bright, fresh acidity. Nicely spiced, with a little complexity. In the context of this vintage it is really very impressive.

Bottle Two: 1994 Barola
Sori Sinestra

Rich, full bodied, thick, ripe and seductive. Packed with lovely blackberry, current and sweet black cherry flavors along with a touch of tar, mineral, lead, pencil and spice. There were only 1000 cases of this made.

Bottle Three: 1992 Chateau Cos d'Estornel
St. Estephe

Dense old vine flavors of cassis and black fruit offset by refined mineral, liquorice and tobacco. The wine is layered, complex with an elegant balanced acidity and an extended finish.

Bottle Four: 1995 Chateaux Meyney
74% Cab, 22% Melot, 4% Petit Verdon

Ripe, spicy with dark cherry aromas and flavors and soft tannins. Very appealing. Super nose of black cherries and cassis intertwined with scents of earth, licorice and toasty oak.

Bottle Five: 1993 Argiano Brunello
Di Montalcino

Dark ruby color with an intriguing nose suggestive of almond extract, truffles and black cherry with incense and Asian spices. At it's peak and ready to drink now for that special occasion.

Bottle Six: 1992 Caymus Vineyards
Cabernet Sauvignon

One of the icons of the Napa Valley Cabernet producers Caymus is always great. This 1992 exhibits lots of toasty oak and cassis, is round and full bodies and brings the word opulent to mind. A taste treat.
