Description

Experience the full kitchen spectrum as taught by professional culinary instructor, Suzy Farnworth. You will learn about "five sense cooking", kitchen safety, good food choices, cooking techniques and "how to be the perfect party guest!". You will wear many "hats", as Sous Chef, Timer and Yes - Dishwasher!  But, best of all, you get to taste, savor and learn to prepare every dish!

Your week of Junior Chef Cooking Camp runs from June 23 - 27, 2008. Class is from 1:30 - 4:30 pm and will be held at Royal Hodge Masonic Center, 651 Roble Avenue, Menlo Park, CA  94025 (next to Cook's Seafood on El Camino Real). 

Class is hands-on. Aprons, knives and utensils will be provided.  At class end, you will receive a printed recipe collection and apron to remember your week. 

Special Instructions

This class is for students ages from 11-13. You need not have any experience.  Class attire suggested: long pants and close-toed/rubber-soled shoes.  Long hair should be tied back.

All students receive a recipe collection and apron!

Suzy Farnworth graduated from the California Culinary Academy and received the Danielle Carlisle Walker Award for Excellence in Culinary Studies as voted by the chef instructors at the Academy.  She received her State of California teaching credential from UC Berkeley and was an elementary school teacher.
