Local doll artist Melinda Vivlemore started making a doll every year for her daughter Kara as a special Christmas present. What started out as a love for one child has since grown into a life-long love of dolls. Melinda started making the polymer baby dolls she calls Mindy's Munchkins about three years ago and has since sold them locally, nationally, and, internationally one doll traveling as far away as Sydney Australia. The dolls themselves are all one of a kind  sculptures. They are all done free-hand without the use of any molds. The dolls’ clothing is all made by hand specifically for each doll. Each doll seems to take on a personality of its own as it is being made and each one is made with a lot of enjoyment and love.
