Description

You deserve it!! Stunning pearl and diamond earrings!!

Handmade 18K White Gold earrings feature 8 south sea keshi* pearls and 10 round brilliant cut diamonds weighing a total of 1.25cts.  Diamonds are G color VS clarity.

* Keshi is a Japanese term commonly used in the jewelry industry to refer to non-nucleated pearls raised on farms in the south Pacific.  Unlike cultured South Sea pearls, which are formed when a round bead is implanted in the gonad of the mollusk, and the animal secretes a lustrous nacre to sooth itself, as the farmer strives to grow a perfectly round pearl.   South Sea Keshi pearls form around a tiny organic irritant, like a piece of flesh or pearl shell, which breaks off during the culturing process.  Two pearls then grow in the same host mollusk; the cultured pearl the farmer intended to raise, and the keshi by product.  Keshi pearls are almost all nacre, giving them an unsurpassed luster and unique character in various shapes and forms.
