This collaborative work was done by Village Glen West students in Ms. Guillaume's Bridge, Science Core, and Art Club.  

The Art Club and Science Core engaged in metal work, creating indentations, which were then colored to look like stained embossments.  Initially they used soda cans for a Pop Art approach, mounting cans in the centers of each square. The soda can metal proved to be difficult for the artists to control so they exchanged that out with the aluminum sheets.
