Description

Two - Fairy Tale Season tickets to the 2008-2009 Tulsa Ballet.  Orchestra II Seating.  Season includes the following performances:

Don Quixote - The wild and crazy Don Quixote and his sidekick Sancho Panza are back! Don has a vivid imagination, one that gets him into more than a few tricky situations. Based on the book by Miguel de Cervantes, this 19th century classical ballet was originally choreographed by Marius Petipa.

Legends  Black Tuesday - Taking its title from the infamous day the stock market crashed in 1929, Black Tuesday employs happy tunes and buoyant movement to play off the underlying despair of the 1930s. Vintage recordings of once-popular songs frame Taylor’s quirky choreography.Gnawa-Set to an evocative fusion of tranquil Spanish and North African melodies, Gnawa displays an array of intricate choreographic formations and deftly melds ballet
movement with tribal dance motifs.
Petit Mort-Provocatively intertwining choreography creates unusual shapes and innovative lifts in this demonstration of sensuality set to two of Mozart’s piano concertos.

Cinderella - Witness this familiar story like you have never seen it before! All new sets and costumes bring to Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella a brand new look and feel. Experience the perfect balance of romance and hilarity – your heart will melt from Cinderella and the Prince’s love and your sides will hurt from the uproarious antics of the ugly stepsisters.

CarnivalCarnival of the Animals - Actor John Lithgow wrote this clever narration about young Oliver Percy who spends a night in a museum. Throughout the evening, fairy tale creatures including monkeys, turtles, elephants, lions, hyenas, kangaroos and more come to life to create a magical adventure.Elite Syncopations:  Loud costumes and Scott Joplin music help create this ballet fantasy of ragtime America. Set in a dance hall in the early 1900s where characters compete for the limelight,
dancing and flirting.

Mediterranea - Mediterranea is an abstract exploration of the cultures around the Mediterranean Sea.

Includes the 5 shows listed above, excludes The Nutcracker.   Expires 12/1/08.
