Chocolate Covered Wednesdays feature a bit of chocolate at breakfast (think strawberry breakfast sundaes). Indulge at the daily Innkeeper's Reception with a chocolate house made dessert, Ghiradelli chocolate covered strawberries, and chocolate port. To further delight your palate, a chocolate treat will arrive at your room before bedtime.

Why chocolate? Lookout Point has developed Chocolate Covered Wednesdays with your health in mind! The benefits of chocolate abound. Chocolate contains large quantities of potassium and magnesium, some calcium and sodium, and vitamins A1, B1, B2, D, and E. In addition, chocolate contains endorphins, natural opiates that are released by the brain in increased amounts when eating chocolate, thereby elevating your mood and reducing pain. Also found in chocolate are phenols, which are also found in red wine, tea, fruits and vegetables, and may help reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.

The waters of Lake Hamilton provide a cool respite for the guests of Lookout Point, especially in August. You'll find guests enjoying the canoe, floating on rafts, and dog-paddling in the lake. Beach towels provided, of course.  Lake Hamilton is the perfect lake for water fun. The water is clear to 7 feet, so you can actually see your toes when swimming. It's clean and clear, and so refreshing.
