Little River Zoo promises a unique, non-traditional adventure you and your family will never forget. Nestled in the woods of a remote 50 acres in beautiful Lakeside Norman, the Zoo is home to nearly 400 animals, many of which you will meet up-close and personal as you walk along natural pathways on your personally guided tour.
This year, the Zoo reached nearly 30,000 children through educational and outreach programs, and was visited by more than 50,000 national and international visitors. Zoo programs include Guided Tours, Birthday Parties, Jr. Zookeeper Camps, Overnight Camp Outs, Night Tours, and Educational Outreach Programs.
The Little River Zoo mission is to teach children of all ages about being the best human beings they can be through reflecting on the lives of the animal residents who live at the zoon. It is their hope that the Little River Zoo will act as a platform to help children and their families to be conscious and intentional in actions toward each other, the planet and all living things.
