Description

Ms. Walsh's 5th grade class studied French Pointillism Master Artist Georges Seurat and produced a masterpiece inspired by his most well known work “Afternoon at the Park”. Painted on canvas using pointillism. Approx 30” x 30”. Led by Roscoe Village Artist Heather Gentile Collins. Photos included are actual artwork for auction done by 5th graders, as well as of Seurat's work that inspired this class art project.

Heather Gentile Collins had this to say: "The 5th graders were such a wonderful group (can't say it enough). They were so engaged and interested. And very talented!!! They are interested, kind and talented! We worked on some art history and discussed careers in  art at length."
