Cabin is 400 square feet on the first level and 250 square feet on the second level. We have a small kitchen with a large wood burning stove, choice of a small gas camp stove, and small refrigerator.  A compact dining room has a table that can seat 8.  There is a wood burning fire place in the middle of the great room along with a piano. Next to the kitchen is the bathroom and shower and the master bedroom with a queen sized bed. Upstairs we have two small open bedrooms that sleeps 3 people each.  Besides the wood burning stoves, there is a gas heater. 

There is a large closed in back porch with fold away tables and chairs so that you can enjoy the scenery with your meals. 
 
Camp fires happen in the fire pit with picnic table up on a small hill just west of the cabin (40 yards) after checking with the Forest Service about environmental conditions.
 
Children can enjoy a teepee, tree houses, a swing and a rustic volley ball court on the property.
 
Cut wood is available for the fireplace and wood stoves.
 
If you wish more modern conveniences, the cabin has a generator that can be turned on to bring water into the cabin and to power a few light bulbs when the sun goes down. Details on how to run the generator and keep the water pressure up for cabin water will be provided upon arrival. If you wish to preserve the great natural quiet, there are plenty of lanterns and flashlights.  Your distant neighbors will be happy.
 
There are two private trout ponds located about 1 mile from the cabin and you must have special tag (located in the cabin) on your car to fish there. The pond is stocked yearly with 6-9 inch trout.

Many great attractions within driving distance including Breckenridge, Great Sand Dunes Park, Pikes peak, petrified forest.  Horseback riding within 30 minutes along with hiking and back packing.
