Description
Energy audit for your home or business!
An energy audit is the first step to assess how much energy your home or commercial building consumes and to evaluate what measures you can take to make your structure more energy efficient. An audit will show you problems that may, when corrected, save you significant amounts of money over time.
What is involved in an energy audit?
Inspection & Testing: We start with a 2-3 hour building inspection. This includes a review of your insulation, heating systems and thermal envelope. We use specialized equipment such as infrared cameras and blower door test equipment. An infrared camera helps us detect heat loss, air infiltration and moisture problems. A blower door depressurizes the house, helping us locate and measure the volume of air leaks. We also do an inspection and test of the boiler/furnace. Our equipment tests the efficiency of the heating system.
Report: After we finish our inspection and testing, we provide you with a complete written report of our findings. This includes a detailed list of recommended work and estimated costs to improve or repair each item.
