Description
You and your guests can enjoy this collection of 12 award winning wines from around the world. This collection has been assembled especially for the wine connoisseur in you!
· 2005 Bennett Lane Primus Chardonnay (750 ml). This wine was awarded a silver medal in the San Diego International Wine Competition.
· 2003 Merlot Chaddsford Winery in Pennsylvania (750 ml). Chaddsford's selection of dry reds ranges from classic Cabernets and Merlots to the Italian influenced Due Rossi-"two reds"- a master blend of Sangiovese and Barbera.
· 2005 La Celia La Consulta Chardonnay (750 ml). Another great value wine from South America. Delicately scented, harmonious peach and pineapple flavours blended with subtle minerality. Perfect for a sunny, spring day.
· 2005 Austin Hope Westside White (750 ml). The Westside Wines are proprietary Rhone-style blends crafted from coastal vineyards. Strongly influenced by the climate of the Pacific coastline, grape clusters ripen through a season of warm sunlit days cooled by gentile ocean breezes - ideal conditions for these elegant varieties.
· 2003 Goundrey Offspring Shiraz (750 ml). Color: Deep ruby red, with some purple tints. Nose: Rich and complex aromas of cherry, wildberries and peppery spice define this wine. Palate: Sweet berry fruit flavors are enveloped in luscious ripe fruit and oak tannins, garnished with spicy varietal Shiraz characters. Food: Rich red meat dishes such as lamb, venison or prime beef fillet seasoned with tomato and basil flavors.
· 2004 Gray Monk Latitude 50 White Wine (750 ml). The "Latitude 50" series from Gray Monk are clean and crisp--easy drinking and affordable. They are also immensely popular. The white blend smells like a fresh orchard fruit-cup with crisp lemon and grapefruit flavours.
· 2005 Houghton Western Australia Chardonnay (750 ml). The Aussies see more in Verdelho as table wine than the rest of the world, and they like to use it to add a touch of tropical fruit to simple, straightforward blends. In this case, Houghton, one of the oldest and most northerly of the WA wineries, has pulled off the making of a delightfully quaffable wine well-suited to picnic lunches.
· 2003 Signature Rutherglen Merlot from Marquee Artisan Wines (750 ml). A sophisticated premium wine made unique by its regional and varietal characteristics, hand-made by Australia's best winemakers.
· 2001 Terra Blanca Syrah (750 ml). RED MOUNTAIN GOLD MEDAL - Critics Challenge - San Diego, CA
PLATINUM- Wine Press Northwest - Tri-Cities, WA
SILVER- San Francisco International Wine Competition- San Francisco, CA
90 POINTS - Wine & Spirits Magazine
· 2006 Sauvignon Blanc from the Crossings (750 ml). The Crossings 2007 Sauvignon Blanc a light nose with touches of white peach, apricot and a touch of passion fruit. Good definition, quite feminine. Vibrant entry, racy acidity, brimming full of lemon zest, apple and lime. Very focused and full of joie-de-vivre. Simple, but a joy to drink.
· 2003 V. Sattui Carneros Merlot (750 ml). This medium-full-bodied, Carneros-bred Merlot has licorice and sweet oak in the nose that give way to tart red fruit flavors like cranberry and pomegranate. Its bright acidity would make it a welcome complement to savory lamb and beef dishes.
· 2003 Pinot Noir from Ventana Vineyards (750 ml). Our Pinot Noir was harvested after a long mild growing season just perfect for this varietal. This resulted in a wine that has an explosion of vibrant cherry flavors with a delicious hint of milk chocolate. Lengthy barrel aging in French Oak for over 18 months gives the wine structure and vanilla tones. This Pinot Noir will be a very pleasing accompaniment to your favorite meal.
This collection of wines will entertain you and your guests on any occasion. Enjoy!
