Description

The Renaissance Worthington restaurant is back.

So is the downtown hotel's beloved Sunday buffet.

After a long dining detour, the hotel has restored traditional, full-service dining. The new Vidalia's is a modern Southern restaurant, featuring pecan-crusted chicken ($12-$19) or a lunchtime chicken-fried rib-eye ($12) with sides such as greens, grits and fried green tomatoes.

Lunches include Texas grass-fed beef burgers ($11) or sliced-turkey sliders ($8).

The original breakfast buffet, the city's best, now fills the former steakhouse on the Main Street side of the lobby. Breakfasts also include gingerbread pancakes ($9) or sweet-potato biscuits ($6).

The Sunday buffet offers both lunch and breakfast items for $29.95. This week's premiere included pecan chicken, hanger steak in mushroom sauce, blackened fish and sweet potatoes with green beans.
