Description

Spend one week in a lovely vacation condo located in North Kihei on the island of Maui and you will enjoy the most incredible view. The condo is on the 5th floor of a 6 story building and faces west. The view visible from the kitchen, dining area, living room and lanai is ocean in the foreground with the west Maui mountains in the background. Picture yourself sitting on the lanai with a cooling beverage enjoying the sunset, feeling the ocean breeze and listening to the waves. Priceless!

The condo was extensively remodeled in 2007 with all new furniture, floor coverings, appliances, televisions, linens, dishes, etc.

The bedroom has a king-sized bed and the living room has a hide-a-bed, so 2-4 people can stay in the unit. The kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you need to cook your meals -- or you can check out the newly opened Indian restaurant on the first floor. The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. Please note that the unit does not have air conditioning, but it has great flow-through ventilation from the cooling ocean breezes. We prefer to open the sliding glass door and have the natural breeze and sound of the waves to having air conditioning.

For recreation, swim in a private protected swimming pool with a large sun bathing deck or play shuffleboard. Palm trees surround the grassy landscaped areas for sunning and socializing. Jog or stroll along miles of continuous sandy beaches.

An ocean front Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge are on the premises overlooking the pool area, beach and fish pond. There are BBQs near the pool and a BBQ and lounge area on the roof deck that affords a panoramic view of the ocean and the "up country" slopes of the 10,000 ft. dormant volcano, Mt. Haleakala, meaning "House Of The Sun".

Located directly in front of the building, is the historically important 16th century Alii (Royal) Fish Pond of Kalepolepo. Protected by offshore reefs, the Pond provides safe swimming for children and those wishing to avoid heavy surf. The Hawaiians still fish in the Pond, on occasion, using the old "throw net" method and occasionally use torches at night to attract the fish.
