Description
This valuable painting by Jerry James is 65" x 45".
Jerry James is a full-time teaching artist in visual arts at Lincoln Center Institute. Jerry is a multimedia artist residing in New York City. He is originally from Norfolk, Virginia, where, as a teenager, he exhibited in local art shows and played bass guitar in bands. Jerry studied art at Old Dominion University and went on to earn an MFA in Painting at Yale University. He is currently pursuing doctoral studies in Art Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. His research focuses on the relationship between painting experiences and adult transformation. His writings on art and aesthetics have appeared in various journals and exhibition catalogues, including The Teaching Artist Journal.
James' work is in the collections of numerous prominent institutions, including The Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia.

This item will be available for pick-up at our auction's closing celebration, to be held at Richard Stravitz Sculpture (1217 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach) on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 1:00-5:00 pm. If not picked up in person, the item will be mailed to the winning bidder no later than Wednesday, Dec. 10. Packing and shipping charges (with signature and insurance) will be added to the winning bid.
