Description

Lake Lure Rumbling Bald Resort

The successful bidder will own weeks 1 and 2 (the first two weeks of the year, Friday to Friday) at the Fairfield Mountains Fox Run property units 23 and 24 in Lake Lure, North Carolina. These consecutive weeks are in adjoining units as shown– literally next door to each other in the same building. The properties are identical, three-level units with a downstairs master (king) bedroom, huge bathroom and laundry, a middle level with a (2 doubles) bedroom and bath, and an upper level with a kitchen, living area, and dining area. The living area has a sleeper couch as well – so each unit can sleep six comfortably. Two decks overlook the golf course and mountains.

The property is located in the Rumbling Bald resort area, which offers year-round golf at two 18-hole challenging courses, access to two lakes, a private beach, a fitness center, boat rentals – there is plenty to do. This is the lake where Dirty Dancing was filmed. The bridge that Jennifer Grey danced across is the bridge to the 17th tee on the course this property overlooks.

Lake Lure is located about 20 miles southeast of Asheville, North Carolina. It is adjacent to Chimney Rock, the Hendersonville area, and is about a half an hour from the Biltmore Estate in addition to all that Asheville has to offer. Rock climbing, hiking, biking, fishing, boating, golf – there are plenty of things to do.

The property is a Silver Crown resort associated with Vacation Resorts International, RCI, and Wyndham – and the weeks can be easily traded for time at thousands of resorts around the world!

Maintenance fees are currently $560 per year for each of the two weeks (total annual fees $1120).  Much less than you would pay for lodging at a resort of this quality.
