Description
The Centreville School library wishes to donate two books to the auction this year. The first book is titled Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! Voices from a Medieval Village, by Laura Amy Schlitz, and it is the winner of the 2008 John Newbery Award for children's literature. The book is a series of monologues based on life in England in the Middle Ages. The second book is titled The Invention of Hugo Cabret, by Brian Selznick, and it is the winner of the 2008 Caldecott Award for illustration of children's literature. The book is about a boy living in a Paris train station and is 284 pages of a combination picture book, graphic novel and film. Both books are geared to the 4th-8th grade readers.
