“Autumn’s Breath”

Fall comes to the Little Snowy Range bringing a change in color and weather. I spent this foggy October morning searching for an elk herd that is estimated at nearly 1,900 head, they proved quite elusive. I was however rewarded with this image of fog hovering over fiery aspens along Flatwillow Creek.

A close look at this image conveys the detail of a photograph but with the delicate feel of a watercolor painting. This watercolor like quality is not a “Photoshop technique” as some do with their images but the effect of blending of the image with the printing process and paper.

Kenton believes very strongly in the importance of an image’s integrity, and graphically manipulating an image is not an option for his work. His images just capture the beauty that is already there.
