Larry Hohman has donated a 4 book series for children, based on the alphabet and focusing on nature and signed by himself, the author. The first book, Alphabetical Birds in Color was first written and published in 2002. His second book, Alphabetical Beasts in Color,  was then illustrated and written two years later in 2004. Inspired by his wife's love of gardening, he then went on to create Alphabetical Botanicals in Color. Mr. Hohman is just finishing up his fourth book, Alphabetical Butterflies in Color and with a publishing date of late June of 2008, it should be done just in time for the auction! Well received by both children and adults, these books were written and illustrated by Lawrence (Larry) Hohman and contain magnificent color pencil renderings and endearing rhymes that will make them instant favorites with readers.

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Larry's talent for drawing was honed at The Cleveland Institute of Art.  After graduation, he went to work as an art studio designer, then as an advertising agency art director, and finally as the owner of a commercial art studio, before retiring in 1996.
