Ten Thousand Villages has graciously donated 2 beautiful 15 inch square silk and cotton handmade throw pillows. They feature a diamonds and bars geometric pattern in the central band. This band is an intricate Loatian weaving done in reds and purples and helps to compliment the rich purple jewel tones that are on either side. The pillow also features a zipper on the back to make for easy removal and cleaning.Ten Thousand Villages has purchased these pillows from the Phontong Handicrafts Cooperative in Laos, a co-op of artisans that are trying to revive traditional skills such as weaving and wood carving.  

Ten Thousand Villages, a nonprofit retail operation that strives to be fair trade leaders, has recently been named one of the world's most ethical companies by Ethispere Institute and Forbes Magazine. We are lucky to have this wonderful company nearby in Rocky River.
