Description

These vintage jackets are donated by Motorcycle Hall of Fame Inductees Mike and Margaret Wilson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Made of heavy horsehide, these are original Harley-Davidson brand jackets from the mid-50’s. These would be wonderful for wearing while riding your vintage bike or better yet the perfect item for the collector of vintage motorcycle clothing.

Mike and Margaret Wilson are active in promoting and preserving the heritage of motorcycling. They both serve on the Board of Directors of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and are among the Museum's principal benefactors. They commissioned and donated the beautiful bronze sculpture “Glory Days” which graces the museum’s display area and serves as the official logo of the museum. Mike has also contributed in the design and development of displays at the museum.

While they have toured extensively over the years, in 1996 Mike and Margaret toured all 48 states and 10 Canadian provinces over three-and-a-half months, with Mike aboard his Honda Gold Wing and Margaret aboard her Harley-Davidson. Mike and Margaret continue to attend motorcycling events and conventions, and in 2006 attended the Motor Maids convention in Canada.
