Description
As much a venue as it is a restaurant, Jax Grill acts as an unofficial headquarters for those with a strong penchant for zydeco music.
Both local and touring acts take the stage on Friday evenings, facilitating a weekly bout of frenetic activity on the large dance floor.
As for food, the menu covers American, Mexican and everything in between, with seafood dominating both entrees and appetizers. Crawfish and catfish reign as noted house specialties, though such equally substantial fare as hamburgers and quesadillas are also popular.
Both indoor and outdoor seating is available, and each has its particular charms: the patio is quite expansive and offers fine people-watching opportunities, while the inside dining area features a nifty, circular bar in the center of the restaurant.
