Jose Cruz began his Astros career as an outfielder and is now their first base coach. "Cheo's" place was cemented in Astros history with his number 25 jersey being retired in 1992.
Jim "JD" Deshaies was a record-setting Astros pitcher from 1985-1991. He and Bill "Brownie" Brown now bring you Astros commentary on FSN.
Daryle Ward is still an active player with the division rival Chicago Cubs. He is the only player to have ever hit a home run out of Pittsburgh's PNC Park into the Allegheny River on the fly. He did this while playing with the Astros in the 2002 season.
