Description
Niagara Cave, in Harmony, Minnesota is one of the Midwest's largest limestone caverns. Carved out by underground streams, Niagara's cave ceiling reaches over 100 feet high, with deep canyons and gorges below. Many of these streams are still active today, one of which tumbles 60 feet - the caves namesake waterfall. Niagara Cave is rated one of the top 10 caves in the United States. Winners will recieve a certificate for a one hour guided cave tour for two adults and two youth. In addition to the spectacular waterfall, you will encounter several species of fossils that lived millions of years before the dinosaurs. Stalactites and stalagmites both delicate and massive, can be seen at various locations on the tour. Regular season for the cave is Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Please note: The cave is a constant 48 degrees and 98 percent humidity...Please bring a light jacket or sweatshirt and good walking shoes.
