Description

Take up to 20 people for a behind-the-scenes tour of one of Detroit's jewels - historic Pewabic Pottery.  A Pewabic docent will walk your group through the historic exhibits that tell the story of the pottery's role in the history of Detroit and the growth of the Arts & Crafts movement in America.  Learn how the techniques developed over a hundred years ago are still being used today to make heirloom-quality tiles, vessels, ornaments, and more.

Included with this package are two 4"x4" Pewabic tiles.  One is a special Pewabic tile comissioned by the Mothers' Club depicting Grosse Pointe South's tower to commemorate the 75th School Anniversary.  The other tile depicts the skyline of Old Detroit designed by Pewabic Founder Mary Stratton, circa 1915-17.

This is a Live Event Item.
