Faux My World is in the business of creating environments and building lasting relationships with homeowners, designers, business owners, architects and homebuilders.

Painting has been an art since humans have walked the Earth. The reason for how this form of expression came to be is unknown, however for Faux my World it is simple. David Winn, owner and founder, has been passionate about painting since he was a child when he watched his grandfather care for the needs of his own home. Although David has been around painting since he was a child, his own use of the application did not come until later as his grandfather was extremely meticulous; a valued trait which David inherited. It was not until David’s eighteenth year that he realized what a great deal he had learned from observing application techniques and care from his grandfather. David learned at a very young age that the most important aspect in a combination of painting and service is the quality and pride surrounding the project no matter what the magnitude or scope. In addition to having broad knowledge of the applications and processes of painting, David empowered himself to develop his creative skills by embarking on an apprenticeship in 2000 to learn faux and decorative finishes. Robert Ryan of RL Ryan Paint, La Quinta, California earned his degree in Fine Arts and has been painting for over twenty years.

David Winn has been painting for 15 years. Today, Faux My World is still growing as a business and David as an artist. Along the way we have met some great clients and have even befriended a few as well.
