Description

Leave those video games behind and give 4 youngsters a day on the pristine San Mateo Coast. Our adventure begins at Butano State Park where Mr. Thomas Moore, St. Timothy School 4th grade teacher, and the hikers will meet Head California State Ranger Michael Grant.  After enjoying and studying the Redwoods, Douglas Firs and animals that live in this magnificent forest, they're off to famous Ano Nuevo State Reserve - home of the once endangered Elephant Seals.  After a day of hiking, wildlife and stirring vistas, the group will conclude with a delicious (and well deserved) lunch at a local surprise restaurant.  Last year, 2 fourth graders and 2 fifth graders came back to civilization with stories they will not soon forget.

This is a Live Event Item.

Special Instructions

This adventure will take place in the spring on a day and time to be determined.  So start packing those daypacks....time to "wake up and smell the pine trees!"

Special thanks to Ranger Grant, a college chum of Mr. Moore's.
