Raphael Diaz’ works are collected and shown internationally, especially in Spain, Latin America and Thailand. An educator as an adult, Diaz was drawn to painting as an only child living with his mother in the Projects in New York. Art allowed him to create for himself a world of extended family relationships.

Raphael Diaz proudly supports Rhode Island PBS because he believes that the media and The Arts serve vital roles in educating the diverse populations of Rhode Island.
