Born in Taiwan, Zen Chuang was exposed to traditional Chinese brush-stroking techniques early on. Having lived in Argentina before coming to New York and later, Providence, he has been exposed to several cultures and styles of art.

A family physician as well as artist, Zen Chuang teaches about the healing nature of art at Brown University.
