Ms. Kerr has been painting with pastels for 10 years and is self-taught. She was drawn to pastels for their vivid colors and soft appearance. Although she has recently begun tackling urban landscapes with their man-made structures, her first love is natural landscapes with their variety of light and shadow, as seen here.
