"Scarborough Reflections" by Walter Scott Jr.

Item Number: 166
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
It's a warm, late afternoon, and we're looking south from Scarborough State Beach towards Point Judith. The lowering sun paints its soft reds and blues in the southeastern sky, reflected in the ocean, as a gentle surf rolls onto the shore. As you can tell, the beauty of Scarborough inspired Walter to pick up his brush and oils!
Essentially a self-taught artist, Walter Scott was a commercial fisherman for years, but his love for the beauty of the coast - and his native talent - drove him towards a career as an artist and director of Mariner Fine Art Gallery in Newport.
