Richard Grosvenor loves to depict local sites and here's one close to the heart of any southern New Englander! It's Second Beach in Middletown. The lovely, curving shoreline at the Newport-Middletown border enjoys a stunning view of Newport's famous Cliff Walk; in the perspective shown here, Middletown's celebrated Hanging Rock is prominent in the background.

Richard Grosvenor headed up the Art Department at Newport's St. George's School for 40 years. Known for his oils and watercolors, he has been the focus of numerous several solo shows. A painting of the White House by Richard was featured in a calendar commissioned by President and Mrs. Clinton.
