Neal Drobnis is drawn to working in glass because its fluidity - when molten - makes it an expressionist art form. Notice how the transparency of the glass brings the colors to life and observe the contrast between rough and smooth surfaces.

Neal's work combines both glassblowing and casting techniques, reminiscent of glass-forming practices used by the Romans over three  millennia ago.

A member of Artist Open Studio and the Foundry Artists' Association, Drobnis' works are also seen at the Chabot Fine Art Gallery in Providence and the Universe Gallery in Newport.
