Description

It's amazing how some artists can convey the essence of a scene with the right combination of strokes. And that's exactly what Jerome Doyle has accomplished with this ink-and-brush work on board. It's a look at the bustling corridor conversations and give-and-take that constitute the work of governing Rhode Island - and have, since even before the current State House opened on Smith Hill at the dawn of the 20th Century. Everything goes on under the gaze of paintings showing heroes and civic leaders of the past, just as we see here. Jerome Doyle is a member of the Wickford Art Association.
