Description

Greenwich Village-based John Dorish’s works reflect the drama and mood of the city around him. Without formal art training, he sold his first paintings while a student nearly 40 years ago. Dorish often presents a romanticized interpretation of city life rather than actual depictions of architecture, but he truly captures the feel of Gotham! Here’s proof: The New York Public Library recently purchased his etching “Blue Moon” for its permanent collection. In southern New England, John’s works are seen at the Harmon Gallery, Wellfleet.
