Jean Konnerth is a retired jewelry designer and printmaker who, with husband Andrew, has recently been assembling whale skeletons for museums! Her jewelry designs, calendars, prints, event posters and commissioned works have been sold and collected internationally. As if creating prints and jewelry (and articulating whale skeletons) weren’t enough, Jean says, “And then, I saw a rack with hundreds of neckties!” This mixed-media collage includes acrylic paint, ink, colored film and of course, a silk necktie!
