Assault on Damn Yankee faithfully captures the gut-wrenching last moments of the B-17 piloted by future Rhode Island governor, Lieutenant Bruce Sundlun, in 1943. Under heavy attack over Germany on its 13th mission, Damn Yankee was severely damaged and brought down. Five crewmen were killed; of those able to bail out, only Sundlun avoided capture. Domenic DeNardo, trained as both an engineer and artist, has won numerous international awards. This is one of a limited edition of 550 prints; it is signed by Governor Sundlun as well as DeNardo.
