Description

Deeply set among the gently rolling hills of Sonoma County lies ‘Rio Piedra’, a small vineyard lovingly nurtured by Norman and Karen Panting.  Award-winning winemaker, Dan Barwick, has created this elegant blend using both the seductive Syrah and the spicy Zinfandel grapes to produce a special wine that has depth, complexity and charm.

Low in alcohol and acidity, this unique wine is great for sipping or as a complement to your meal.  Rio Piedra consists of 50% Syrah / 50% Zinfandel.

Grandsons (and MdTL students) Jack and Ben Darby love running through their grandparents’ vineyard and love helping harvest the grapes for the Rio Piedra wine each fall.
