Gift certificate for $475 worth of tuition for or towards an art workshop, 2009 season, with one of our many nationally and internationally famous instructors. If the tuition for the chose workshop is more than $475, the purchaser is responsible for the difference; however there is no cash refund, should the chosen class tuition be less than $475. Classes range from 3 days for $395 to 5 days for up to $600. This does not include lodging or meals except for our traditional complimentary lobster dinner the first night of class. CMAW brings internationally known artists to Rockland to provide exciting, quality art instruction. For 2008, they added a Windjammer Cruise class and two classes at a near by shore side inn. Generally classes are held either plein air or in our large studio at the Trade Winds Motor Inn, across the road from Rockland Harbor. Some classes may also take a train ride to paint in Wiscasset for the day. (Ask your instructor about doing this!)

Rockland has a wealth of vistas to paint, great food and is considered one of the country's best art destinations! The center of this very small city offers galleries, shops, restaurants, museums and easy access to the waterfront scenery.

Rockland has a busy harbor with a variety of working and pleasure craft, both sail and power. The city's architecture reflects its history; its mix of wealthy and working class homes and buildings offers intriguing painting alternatives.

Not far from quaint seaside villages, lighthouses and beaches, or a ferry trip to Monhegan and the other nearby islands, Rockland is just a few miles from the beautiful harbors of Camden and Rockport. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are only 2 hours further up the Coast.
