Bessie, an American Girl

Item Number: 176
Time Left: CLOSED
Description
Bessie the Bovine, dressed in her Sunday best of late 19th-century print-and-frill dress and matching bonnet, rivals even the most historically authentic American Girl doll. Though she was born inside a rustic barn just north of Fond du Lac, Bessie hopes that by putting herself up for bid in the Big Night Out online auction, she will find a home where she will be loved and adored for the wondrous, albeit overdressed, beauty that she is.
Bessie is about 14" tall, and the two-spirited folk artist SM McCarty is rumored to have created her.
